I am a Riverside County resident teaching Band and Choir at the Perris Unified High School District. In the Spring of 2020, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with an instrumental emphasis and in the Spring of 2021, I received my Single Subject Credential in Music.
My first experience with music was singing and dancing to pop tunes in elementary school performances and around the house with my mom. The first steps into more classical-centric music training I received was in 8th grade band at University Heights Middle School. I had asked to play percussion and ended up playing clarinet instead due to the needs of the ensemble. Fortunately, when I started attending John W. North High School, I was able to join the Winter Drumline program and I have been hitting things ever since.
Once I graduated, I started performing with various ensembles in the area including the Riverside City College Marching Tigers, POW Percussion, Riverside Concert Band, and San Bernardino Concert Band.
Educational Philosophy
My goal as a teacher is to provide a pathway for students to pursue their passions. If that passion happens to be music, I aim to provide a learning experience that teaches students the skills to be successful in the collegiate arena and beyond. If students find passion in other areas, my job is no different. I believe that it is my duty to help students to find something that they are passionate about and help them to pursue those dreams in a productive and meaningful way.
